Assessment
Formal and informal assessments are one way to get an academic snapshot of how your child is doing. BrainWorks offers a few options to assist you in your child's educational program.
Standardized Individual Testing
Is my child on track? If your child is experiencing difficulties in the classroom, low grades on report cards, or if you want a measure of their current performance, we can help. The KTEA-R Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement Brief is used to determine performance levels in 5 basic skill areas:
Reading Decoding,
Reading Comprehension,
Spelling,
Math Application
Math Computation
Observation of behaviors during assessment and developmental screenings are coupled with the results. These findings are then used to identify methodologies in which to provide more effective instruction and support to their school experience. A prescriptive educational plan can be designed to meet the child's individual goals.
The score report provides percentile ranking and grade equivalents for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. So, whether you need testing for an annual homeschool evaluation or just affirmation, we can give you peace of mind.
