Carmen Behar 
State Certified Teacher​ / Educational Consultant

 

Carmen Behar, B.S. Special Education, Educational Consultant / Academic Specialist

K-12 All Subjects, Voice, Piano

 

Carmen is a 31-year state certified teacher. She earned her Associate in Arts Degree from Miami-Dade College in 1984 in Special Education. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida International University in 1987 in Special Education with a minor in Music. Carmen holds a Florida Teaching Certificate in Special Education K-12 (Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectually Challenged, Emotionally Challenged), Elementary Education K-6, and ESOL K-12.

 

Carmen worked for Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 24 years in a Varying Exceptionalities Classroom, as a Grant Writer / Project Manager and as a Reading Interventionist. Within that time she worked with At-Risk populations as well as Gifted populations. Additionally, she worked at American Heritage School. Carmen has worked with students of all ages, grades, and settings including public, private and home. Carmen is well versed in curricula and pedagogy with a strength in designing educational plans for student success. Carmen has more than thirty years of experience in assessment and administers the KTEA-R, The Woodcock Johnson Brief, The PSAT, and proctors for SAT and ACT Test administrations.

Chloe Behar

Chloe Behar , B.S. Elementary Education, Academic Specialist, Top Scorer SAT Reading/Writing, Reading, Writing, Test Preparation, Homework Help, Music 

 

Chloe has been an academic specialist for BrainWorks Educational for several years. At the young age of seventeen, she earned her Associate in Arts Degree from Broward College in Education. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL/Reading Endorsement. Chloe has been accepted to UPenn and Vanderbilt university where she will continue her Masters Degree in Urban Education. Chloe has worked with students of all ages from elementary to college age. Her experience includes working with students with various giftings from public school, private school, and home school. Chloe teaches reading, writing, voice, piano, homework assistance, and SAT/ACT/ PERT/HSPT reading and writing preparation. 

Sebstian Avella
Academic Specialist / Top Scorer

Sebastian Avella, National Hispanic Merit Scholar, Top Scorer Math. Secondary Math, AP US History, Government, Human Geography

Sebastian Avella is a sophomore at The University of Miami. Sebastian demonstrates strong leadership and teaching abilities. He has coached 7th-12th grade Debate Teams for four years which have reached National level competitions. He is the Co-Director of DREAM PAC which links local minority populations to local politicians. Sebastian has achieved a perfect score in Math SAT and high scores on AP Exams. Sebastian tutors middle through high school students in algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and SAT / ACT / PERT math test preparation.
